Former Rossoneri goalkeeper Christian Abbiati advised Gianluigi Donnarumma to continue to stay at AC Milan.
The Donnarumma contract at San Siro will expire in the summer of 2018. But Milan’s efforts to renew the contract were always hampered, especially because of the unclear intention of the goalkeeper’s agent, Mino Raiola.
Donnarumma himself has claimed to want to stay in Milan. However, he has not signed the contract offered by the Rossoneri.
Abbiati finally spoke up. He also tried to persuade the future Italian goalkeeper to continue to survive at the San Siro.
“The boy wants to survive and now the club, himself and his agent will determine his future,” Abbiati told Mediaset Premium.
“I hope with all my heart that he can survive, he is loved by all fans and he shows his value by playing at a high level for one and a half years,” he said.
“Seeing his young age and what he has done for the past year and a half, he proved to have good quality. But he can still improve his appearance, because he was only 18 years old,” he exclaimed.
